Diabetes Tests

Diabetes is a long-lasting condition in which the pancreas loses its ability to produce insulin to the level of the body’s demands. Insulin is an essential component that is used for converting the digested sugar, from the eaten food, to the main bloodstream. It is insulin that helps the sugar released to be converted into energy.

If diabetes is present, the blood sugar levels get out of control. Either insulin does not get produced, or the body parts gradually start restricting the insulin produced. It can lead to complications like heart disease, kidney failure, and nerve damage if not managed properly.

There are four different forms and types of diabetes:

  • Type 1 diabetes

  • Type 2 diabetes

  • Gestational diabetes

  • Prediabetes

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Symptoms:

There are various symptoms that a person might face if he/she is affected with diabetes. Some of the symptoms are:

    • Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly
    • Focus on a low-carb diet

  • Consulting a doctor is extremely essential in case severity is seen in prevailing symptoms. Take a medical advice:

    • Experiencing unexplained weight loss, excessive thirst, or frequent urination
    • If diagnosed with high blood sugar or at risk (e.g., family history of diabetes)
